The queen of the Met Gala has returned, with Rihanna sending fans into a Fenty frenzy with her 2025 look, exposing a baby bump on her way to the bash.
This year, her man, A$AP Rocky, 36, serves as a co-chair for Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, along with Pharrell Williams, Lewis Hamilton, Colman Domingo, and LeBron James, although the NBA champ has had to pull out of attending due to injury.
The 37-year-old is no stranger to the Met, having attended on several occasions in bold, head-turning looks.
She’s the A-lister the whole of social media waits for, having rocked up to the Carlyle Hotel in New York City before the event in a much more low-key look than we typically see her in.
The Umbrella hitmaker chose to bare her stomach earlier tonight in a cropped Miu Miu two-piece, which she teamed with matching knee-high boots, a scarf and a bucket hat.
Perhaps it’s down to wanting to prioritise comfort, with a source confirming to Page Six tonight that the speculation is true—she’s expecting her third child.
When she finally arrived, shutting down the carpet after it had officially closed, she looked as glamorous as ever in a grey Marc Jacobs bustier, coupled with a black floor length skirt with pin-stripe detailing.
She dressed her bump in a cropped black jacket, adding a tie, oversized hat and patterned heels to fit the theme of Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly about baby number three, she insisted: ‘I’m good, shockingly feeling okay.
‘And not too overwhelmed at the moment. At first, I was tired but I’m excited.’
The mom-to-be also took a moment to squash fears that this means we’ll never get album number nine.
‘Maybe a couple videos,’ she added. ‘I can sing.’

Confirming the baby news, A$AP Rocky told reporters on the red carpet: ‘It feels amazing, you know.
‘It’s time that we show the people what we was cooking up. And I’m glad everybody’s happy for us ’cause we definitely happy, you know.’
‘Honestly, it’s a blessing nonetheless,’ he told the AP. ‘Because you know how like some people in other situations at times can be envious of other people.
‘But we’ve been seeing love for the most part. And we real receptive to that and appreciate that, you know what I mean? That’s love. Love is love.’
A$AP was among the co-chairs for the glamorous event which, for the first time in more than 20 years, focused exclusively on menswear.
Ahead of the Costume Institute fundraiser, fashion house Vogue explained that it will ‘take the Black dandy as its subject, examining the importance of clothing and style to the formation of Black identities in the Atlantic diaspora.’
Reacting to Rihanna’s appearance, fans took to social media and quickly got her name trending on X.
They declared her outfit ‘fabulous’ and grew giddy with excitement upon learning she’s to become a mum once again, news which now explains why she allegedly cancelled her upcoming UK shows.
During the Met Gala, Rihanna was seen taking snaps with Ciara, a pop star who she previously has public beef with.
In 2011, Rihanna called out Ciara after she claimed that Rihanna had ignored her at an event,Rihanna clapped back: ‘Thought you were the help.’
To this Ciara responded: Trust me Rhianna u dont want to see me on or off the stage.’
Rihanna replied: ‘U gangsta huh? Haaa…Good luck with bookin that stage u speak of.’
She later regretted her comment and apologised: ‘Ciara baby, I love u girl! U hurt my feelings real bad on TV! I’m heartbroken! That’s y I retaliated this way! So sorry!’
The duo made up then and there but their bizarre twitter beef went down in history as a baffling exchange.

Rihanna and rapper A$AP, real name Rakim Athelaston Mayers, welcomed their first child, a boy named RZA, in May 2022.
Then, in August 2023, she gave birth to a second son, Riot Rose, having unveiled her bump while headlining the Super Bowl Halftime Show.
Speaking previously about expanding her family, Rihanna said she wanted to have three or four children, with or without a partner.
‘I feel like society makes me want to feel like, “Oh, you got it wrong…” They diminish you as a mother if there’s not a dad in your kids’ lives,’ she told British Vogue in 2020.
‘But the only thing that matters is happiness; that’s the only healthy relationship between a parent and a child.
‘That’s the only thing that can raise a child truly, is love.’
Then, in December 2023, she joked to E! News that the only thing she was not yet capable of achieving was to ‘have daughters’.
‘I’m batting at 75% for a boy next time. So, we’ll just keep our fingers crossed,’ she said.
Rihanna has been dating A$AP for five years, having first met in 2012 when they collaborated on a remix of her tune Cockiness (Love It).
In late 2023, the Fenty Beauty founder raved about his parenting, admitting she ‘loved him differently as a dad’.
‘It’s just like, “Wow! What a leader, what a great, patient, loving [dad]”.’
