href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/jeremy-clarkson\/\">Jeremy Clarkson<\/a> has offered a kind gesture towards other struggling pub owners after saving himself from ‘financial ruin’.<\/p>\n<p>The <a data-track=\"inline-tag-auto-link_article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/clarksons-farm\/\">Clarkson’s Farm<\/a> star, 64, has admitted to facing <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2024\/12\/22\/jeremy-clarkson-suffers-total-disaster-ahead-christmas-admits-naive-22234688\/\">a series of ‘total disasters’ behind the scenes<\/a> of his Oxfordshire pub, The Farmer’s Dog, after expenses kept piling up.<\/p>\n<p>Clarkson reportedly splurged \u00a31,000,000 on his new venture and opened the doors to his pub in August after the success of his <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2024\/05\/04\/jeremy-clarksons-diddly-squat-farm-can-public-visit-20775653\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Diddly Squat farm and shop<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>He has since revealed his fears <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2024\/10\/02\/jeremy-clarkson-fears-wont-make-money-back-1-000-000-pub-21718439\/\">over making profits at the pub and the farm<\/a>, amid backlash over <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2025\/01\/23\/shock-jeremy-clarksons-pub-charges-staggering-199-enormous-pie-22420453\/\">the prices of food and merchandise<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Clarkson has now offered help to other struggling pub-owners, giving away 1,000 free kegs of beer to those who need help.<\/p>\n<p>He took to Instagram in a video, saying: ‘Welcome to The Farmer’s Dog, it’s a pub I’ve had for about six months now, and I’ve worked out it is a brilliant way of turning \u00a3100 into about \u00a394 using nothing but costings.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"img-container shareable-item year the unexpected costly issues that occurred at his pub, including having to hire \u2018a whole team of chemically trained hazmat engineers\u2019 to deal with an accident in one of the outside toilets, only managing to sell five of the 40 <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/christmas\/\">Christmas<\/a> turkeys they\u2019d ordered, and <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2024\/12\/24\/jeremy-clarksons-glasses-pub-flogged-ebay-100-stolen-22245511\/\">104 glasses being stolen<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>He’s elsewhere shared his worries about <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2024\/10\/02\/jeremy-clarkson-fears-wont-make-money-back-1-000-000-pub-21718439\/\">making profits at the pub and the farm<\/a>, which he\u2019s explored over the past seasons of his Amazon Prime Video series.<\/p>\n<p>The former Top Gear star said in his column in The Times: \u2018It\u2019s galling to see how much effort is required to make so little money on the farm.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018It\u2019s worse at the pub. The customers are coming. There\u2019s no problem there.
