Dave Mallows has died aged 76<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Power Rangers<\/a> actor Dave Mallow has died.<\/p>\n

The actor played Mighty Morphin Power Rangers villain Baboo, which ran through the 90s.<\/p>\n

He also voiced various characters in video games<\/a> including the Warcraft series, and in Digimon: Digital Monsters.<\/p>\n

According to TMZ<\/a>, the star died on Tuesday after being in hospice care.<\/p>\n

He was staying at the MonteCedro Senior Living Community in California.<\/p>\n

A former colleague told the outlet that Mallow’s health had been declining in recent years.<\/p>\n

Mallow also wrote and directed many anime projects.<\/p>\n

In the Power Rangers, alongside Squatt, Baboo served as one of antagonist Rita Repulsa’s cronies.<\/p>\n

The series ran from 1993 to 1999, and Mallow later worked on future shows in the franchise including Power Rangers in Space, Power Rangers Zeo and Power Rangers Time Force.<\/p>\n

According to iMdb, Mallow began his career as a radio star in New York City, before moving to Los Angeles in 1984 to pursue voice acting.<\/p>\n

In 2007, he was nominated for best actor and best actor in a comedy series at the 1st Annual American Anime Awards.<\/p>\n

Several fans have paid tribute following the news of his death, with @OctopusCity writing on Reddit: ‘RIP legend.’<\/p>\n

@Elysiun0 said: ‘I heard his voice so many times growing up and he was a big part of my early anime fandom. He will be missed.’<\/p>\n

‘Thank you for everything Dave Mallow. Another voice of my childhood gone, and with him a piece of me. You’ll never be forgotten and are now forever immortalized by your work. Rest in peace,’ @rpool179 added.<\/p>\n

Mallow is survived by his older sister.<\/p>\n
