href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2025\/01\/03\/netflix-viewers-can-finally-binge-best-medical-drama-year-long-wait-22287744\/\">medical drama<\/a> that will hit screens tomorrow. <\/p>\n<p>Pulse is the streaming service\u2019s first ever English-language medical series.<\/p>\n<p>It follows third-year medical resident Danny (played by Scream\u2019s Willa Fitzgerald) who is \u2018unexpectedly promoted to chief resident at the emergency room at Maguire Hospital in Miami amidst the fallout of her own explosive romantic relationship.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s been teased that \u2018while Danny\u2019s deep empathy makes her an exceptional doctor in training, her brash and self-sabotaging nature complicates her upward trajectory\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Her promotion comes after the hospital\u2019s highly hurricane that sends the hospital into lockdown to deal with the flood of trauma patients.<\/p>\n<p>The show\u2019s trailer was released last month, with viewers sharing their thoughts at the sneak peek and calling it<a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2024\/04\/03\/greys-anatomy-fans-beg-put-misery-update-20579176\/\"> \u2018the next Grey\u2019s Anatomy\u2019<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018I love medical drama especially with more suspense or wild things happening. We really wanted to play in the grey area of that situation. Pulse shows the edges and pitfalls of their relationship \u2014 but also all the joyous moments of working a high-pressure job like this,\u2019 she said.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking about the doctors, she also said the aim was to avoid portraying them as \u2018superheroes\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018We wanted these characters to be real people who have to go through the relatable issues of working together in a pressure cooker. Relationships are forming and breaking apart on Pulse,\u2019 she added.<\/p>\n<p>Pulse also stars Jack Bannon, Jessie T.
