Michael Lohan has reportedly been arrested on a charge of ‘continuous violence against the family’.
The 64-year-old father of actress Lindsay Lohan has been arrested in Texas after allegations he assaulted his estranged wife Kate Major.
A representative for the Harris County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) has told TMZ and People that Major, 42, was getting a medical examination when she told deputies that her husband had flipped her out of a chair at their residence a few days earlier’.
The HCSO said a female deputy saw bruising on her body.
Authorities then made contact with Lohan and he was ‘arrested without incident’ at his residence.
It’s said he’s being held with a $30,000 bond, and he’s due to appear in court on Monday.

People noted that Major initially saw Lohan at the parking lot of the building where she was attending her medical appointment.
A call was placed to 911 over her concerns ‘he was following her’.
In a statement, Lohan denied the allegations and told TMZ: ‘She set me up… Originally she said I was stalking her! Really? Lol. Then, when that didn’t work, she said, I pushed her over a chair.’

The former couple originally got married in 2014, four years after their engagement.
She filed for divorce in 2018, one month after being arrested on allegations she threw a candle at him and cut his arm.
Prosecutors in Florida did not file charges over the claims, as they cited insufficient evidence.
Lohan was previously arrested in 2020 for allegedly assaulting Major.

According to police at the time, he was ‘verbally and physically abusive to the other party’.
Almost eight months ago, Lohan contacted the authorities after a roadside argument with his ex.
She shared a clip of herself in a driver’s seat arguing with Lohan, but TMZ noted at the time that no charges were filed.
Michael has children Lindsay, 38, Michael Jr, 37, Aliana, 31, and Dakota, 28, with first wife Dina Lohan, whom he was married to between 1985 and 2007.
