Dave Grohl and his wife Jordyn Blum put on a united display as they stepped out for lunch in a rare outing.
Their day date comes as they ‘work’ on their marriage after Grohl confessed to fathering a secret lovechild.
Late last year, the Foo Fighters icon, 56, stunned fans by revealing he was expecting a baby with another woman, despite being married to Blum, 48, for 21 years.
The woman’s identity was then revealed as 38-year-old Jennifer Young, who said she gave birth on August 1 and put Grohl’s name on the baby’s birth certificate.
Just weeks after news of Grohl’s infidelity became public knowledge, both he and his wife were spotted without wedding rings, and a divorce attorney was hired.
However, it was later reported that they were keen to give things another go, as is illustrated by new photos of them together.
Grohl and Blum wore smiles on their faces out in Los Angeles over the weekend.
While they were not holding hands, they walked close to one another and seemed relaxed in the other’s company.
The musician was dressed in a relaxed black sweatshirt and cargo shorts combo, to which he added black-and-white leather trainers.
Grohl’s inkings were also on show with his sleeves rolled up, and he added a pair of horn-rimmed glasses and a baseball cap.
Equally casual, Blum dressed in a black sweater, green Adidas joggers, and matching black trainers.
The couple’s sighting comes after Young spoke to Page Six about Grohl fathering her child out of wedlock.
While she confirmed the basic details, Young did not share their daughter’s name ‘because there are some really angry fans’ out there, and she feels ‘protecting her identity is important’.
It is known that Young lives in LA with the little one, but no further details about the nature of her relationship with Grohl, or how they met, have been published.
Her occupation is also unknown, and Young does not have any active social media accounts.
As Grohl and his wife now navigate the fallout of his scandal, it’s believed he is keen to repair his marriage.
In November last year, a source told People: ‘He’s no longer working with a divorce attorney and instead hoping to work things out with his wife.’
A second insider added to the outlet: ‘Dave’s been prioritising his family. He knows he messed up.
‘It’s one of those situations where you don’t realise what you have until you’re about to lose it. He doesn’t want to lose his family.’
Their quotes echo what Grohl said in his original statement announcing the pregnancy, as he wrote that he was ‘doing everything [he] can to regain [his family’s] trust and earn their forgiveness.’
As well as the little girl he and Young share, Grohl has three children with Blum: Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10.
